Dr. Schwassmann graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989 and practiced in south Florida for five years before returning to Gainesville for her dermatology residency. After completing her residency in 1996 she moved to Orlando and joined the Veterinary Dermatology Center. Dr. Schwassmann has served on the executive board of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology and continues working on several committees. She is also a member of the organizing committee for the North American Veterinary Dermatology Forum. She shares her home with the rambunctious canine duo, Linus and Onyx!
