Dr. Logas graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986 and practiced in San Antonio, Texas for three years while her husband completed his residency in pediatrics (for people). They returned to Ocala and Dr. Logas began her dermatology residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville. After finishing in 1992 she stayed on part time as assistant professor of dermatology. After the birth of her second son in 1993, she founded the Veterinary Dermatology Center in Winter Park. She finally tired of commuting to both Gainesville and Winter Park and fortunately for us, retired from the University in 1998. Dr. Logas is a past president of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology and continues to serve on several committees for the college. She and her husband are now officially “empty nesters,” but their sons, along with two grand-dogs, are frequent visitors. *Dr. Logas retired from practice in March 2022, but she remains a part of the Veterinary Dermatology Center family.
