What is Veterinary Dermatology Center?
Veterinary Dermatology Center consists of board-certified dermatology specialists who work together to serve as a temporary extension of the care you receive from your “Family Practice” veterinarian. In addition to standard veterinary training, each of us has completed several years of advanced training in the dermatology specialty area. This enables us to diagnose and treat conditions with the most current and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic options available in veterinary medicine.
The Veterinary Dermatology Center strives to provide the most up-to-date dermatological care for our patients in a kind, caring and professional manner. Because many of the diseases we deal with are lifelong, it is also our goal to educate our clients and spend as much time as needed to help them understand and manage their pets’ condition. We feel this helps strengthen the human-animal bond by making our patients happier, more comfortable, and therefore better pets.
When would your veterinarian consider using the Veterinary Dermatology Center?
Your primary care veterinarian is an expert at handling a wide range of preventive care medical and surgical treatment procedures. You have an ongoing relationship built on trust and respect. Sometimes a cat or dog will have a problem that requires the expertise of a specialist or the use of specialized medical equipment. For a case like this, your veterinarian may refer you to the Veterinary Dermatology Center.
